AN EYE WITNESS REPORT OF GOD

Anchor: EXODUS 15:11: Who among the gods is like you, LORD? Who is like you-- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

Thinking recently, I realized how valued an eye witness report is whenever an event happens. Reporters are eager for one, the public is itching to receive and everybody just wants to know what really went on. You hear things like an eye witness report of the plane crash, of the flood, an earth quake, etc. I also wonder if the eye witness report of JESUS’ ascension was this relevant and sought for. Were there journalist who heard of it and rushed to interview one of the disciples to collect the exact details of what really happened?

Also, I got a whole new meaning to the lyrics of the popular worship music that says:

YOU are bigger than what people say (JEHOVAH)

YOU are bigger than what people say

(Some say) YOU are good

(Others say) You are Kind

(But) YOU are bigger than what people say.

A lot of you followed this link and are reading this blog post right now because you thought I wrote down a pictorial vision of heaven and GOD that I saw last night or a new account, a vison of HIS holiness that you haven’t heard before. Sorry love, but this article doesn’t contain that. I have been sharing by privilege various lessons from GOD and that wouldn’t stop however this article just like the previous is a push provoking you to respond to GOD’s love and the access granted to us through JESUS into HIS presence to have for yourself that eye-witness encounter. Your very own version of GOD!

I watched a broadcast recently of how a woman proclaimed JESUS as the most exhilarating event of her life! Isn’t that amazing? She has come to not only know HIM, but appreciate HIS effect on her in comparison to any other encounter. Dear one, much more relevant than what other people tell you about GOD is what you see for yourself concerning HIM. The song above shows us that when you truly realise HIM for yourself, HE is bigger than what anybody tries or have tried to explain to you. You begin to see that contrary to cases of GOD being angry at you, HE does love you and HE wills for you to be free and made whole all the time. So many other contrasts will be made and so many previous revelations will be strengthened too. This is because whatever you see for yourself, no one can convince you that you didn’t see it. Eph 4:14 talks about not being tossed, it says:

“Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.”

Having a revelation of GOD’s goodness for example by yourself will give you courage to face the storms of life without fear of whether HE will come to your aid or not. On the other hand, when you have someone else’s report of HIS goodness, there will surely be a difference with the way you will react in the sense that instead of remembering GOD for yourself, you will remember GOD’s acts or deeds for or through certain individuals. While this is not a bad thing, we shouldn’t stay that way. We must grow to the point where we can hold on to GOD as our own GOD and know HIM personally for ourselves. My own version of this big GOD!

And it is soo easy. It takes two basic steps:

The first is INTEREST and the next is CONSISTENCY. Interest in the sense that you must have a liking to fellowship with GOD and do what it takes, pick up HIS letters to us (THE BIBLE) read them, and reply (through prayers). Learn to grow by meditations and confessions. Then continue. Be consistent at it. It could help to change patterns but don’t ever stop the process. Soon you will have your own eye witness report to share with the world!
