The Character of the Believer- Watch and Pray!----
Anchor: Matt 26:41 “Watch and pray..."
Hey Everybody!
How have you enjoyed this month of June? For me, the past
7 days have not left me without memories of smiles and I see the rest of the
month being much more special for you.
What I am about to share today is all GOD’s personally communicated
principle to me through the instrument of HIS word. It is called “watch and pray”
but not necessarily from the perspective we have always thought and we have
been taught. Talking about the characters of us as believers, it is important
and very vital indeed that between us and other people there is an all too
clear distinction in character. Today’s admonition flogs me firsts because it
speaks all too much to me directly before anyone else.
When we see things that happen around us that should have
been done better by all standards, such as when people react in certain ways
that really is improper and could be done better, what is our first response
and what happens after that? Truth is that it is inevitable for us to not
notice these things but we can choose our response(s). Yes probably we became
so displeased about whatever we see which is still normal, however our response
is the issue.
Prayer! That’s what GOD expects us to do! HE wants our
first response to the happenings around us to be hands clapped together knees
to the ground in prayer. HE doesn’t expect us to just talk about people and
things, slandering with every opportunity we get and just feeling sorry for
ourselves. Yes it may be burning and painful but what’s the essence of love if
things are so rosy all the time? Dear friend, if the environment around you is
so conducive for you to give love then you’ve not really had an opportunity to
test true love! Yes I dare to say that the test of true love is when you love
at the most inconvenient hours! When by all of the world’s standards you love
the most unlovable personalities. Then we can say you really exhibit the
character of the SPIRIT.
Trust the LORD, there’s so much peace and joy when we do
it this way. We can even enjoy greater fellowship and friendship with the SPIRIT cos there’s
more to talk about lol… (I mean that tho!)
So that’s my today’s story.
I love you.

Very insightful dear. I agree totally with this especially the part of 'what's the essence of love if it's so rosy all the time?' Matthew 5:44 - 48 buttresses on this fact well.
ReplyDelete"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Yeah the true test of the God-kind of love is when it is undeserved and inconvinient
