PROSPERITY IS GOD’S WILL

Anchor Verse:

3 John 2 (AMP)

² Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and  prospers.

Dear Reader, 

God’s topmost priority as revealed through our anchor verses is for every Christian to excel and do well.”] However, this reality has been watered down in the sense that in most cases, It is either wrongly exaggerated on one hand, or on the other hand not taught at all. Today’s aim is to let you see that when you excel in whatever area{s} GOD places you, you bring HIM glory and that is our essential purpose as HIS creation- To bring HIM glory. 

I heard a testimony at church on Sunday of a woman whose son left home and they  had] been looking for him for about four years before he returned the previous week In his testimony, he said he left in pursuance of a job but he got entangled with this group of men who simply lived in a woman’s house. In that house, everything was provided for them, but they were not allowed to go anywhere. In the process, they got converted to Muslims and they simply just dwelt in that house. He further explained that, as long as he was there, he neither remembered the home which he came from, nor if there was a family anywhere. Soon he discovered that not only he suffered from this strange memory loss, but all the men living there as well.

I thought to myself how the devil just delights in seeing the glorious destiny of GOD’s people simply waste away, and by that he does everything to distract us from that path mapped out for us by GOD. HE doesn’t mind if you are dead or alive, the issue is to ensure that the destination is never reached and he doesn’t mind the cost. So the devil brings scenarios to discourage and weigh you down concerning that purpose and it is all because in the fulfilment of that destiny lies GOD’s glory. The devil’s happiness on the other side is in its nullification.

Translating the anchor verse using antonyms it will read something like “You enemy; l desire above all things that thou mayest diminish and fail in every way and be in sickness even as thy soul perisheth.

Good news is that the LORD is much more interested in that vision and destiny than we are or we could ever be! So HIS eyes are constantly upon it watching to bring it to pass! So fear not for we live only by what God’s Word says.

Dear you (and me J), please shun any opportunity, whether it comes directly or disguised coming to make us waste precious resources such as time, thoughts, words etc. that GOD has given us to use for HIS glory even as we work towards fulfilling destiny. It may look favourable as a result of its instant gratification, but the BIBLE also says;  There is a way which seems right to a man and  appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death Prov 14:12 {AMP} Just like the man who testified on Sunday, he was given all that he needed and those clouded his thoughts. There is a path in purpose for you and you must use that big picture to measure your decisions and steps everyday knowing that those little decisions lead gradually to the fulfilling of the big picture. Make sure in all you do, you are pressing towards that one purpose knowing that it is one way to bring glory to GOD. JESUS talking to the FATHER in John 17:4 said; I have glorified You down here on the earth by completing the work that You gave me to do. (AMP)

(so we are on the right track!)

And on a final note, put your best into all that you do especially now that you know that GOD is interested in the work of your hands for HIS glory sake. And as you do so GOD will bring you HIS best too.
