BE SPIRITUALLY PROACTIVE II

FELLOWSHIP, GROWTH AND INTIMACY

Anchor Verse; Psalm 11:3 (NIV) - When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Hey everyone! How was your week? I know it’s been filled with testimonies and great blessings. Last week we began this proactivity study and we looked specifically at “praise and thanksgiving” and the LORD taught us all to be people with grateful hearts and attitudes every day of our lives and not just waiting for some great “answers too prayers” but giving GOD thanks in all that we do whether we believe it’s worthy of appreciation or not knowing fully well that all things work together for our good as believers.

I remember when I was in primary school, the day it’s someone’s birthday is the day you see all manner of friends around that person especially if there will actually be a party with cake, Capri Sonne and party bags. The person suddenly has every body as friends because for one reason or the other we feel the friends get some specialtyJ. This is what we call “famzing” in this present day. So amazing many Christians famz the LORD, they forget HIM in days when they is no need (at least that’s what they feel) and run to HIM only when the need arises like GOD is some form of ever dependable solution. Then we begin to hold marathon fastings and special prayers to avert some certain issues or to please or beg GOD enough to step into our situations.

Wake up believers! There is a better way, in fact a much better way! If there’s no prior relationship, then on what grounds do we think we deserve this help? Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that GOD will not help, but if it was you would you? If a friend daily forgets you but remembers you only when he is in need, on what priority list will you keep that friend? I am simply saying that we can have a buoyant relationship with GOD so much that, when troubles come, you can sleep in the storm just as HE did or more so, walk on it! That nothing becomes and obstacle anymore, you simply just soar, because you have become so mindful of HIM. All this (the level of closeness) depends on you!

I cannot emphasize this enough, neither do I have the words to totally explain this reality. Let there be a solid relationship (foundation) with you and GOD so much that the storms of life become just changes in the weather, it will pass and it truly doesn’t affect us ‘cause we are in our solidly built house and we don’t even know what’s happening outside. That’s what happened when JESUS slept in the storm- HE was so sure of HIS stake in GOD and fear was not in the options ‘cause nothing could go wrong. #Rest

Point is, every day is an opportunity to lay this foundation. Each day comes as a gift from GOD to draw closer and make investments in your walk with HIM. So;
  • Pray without ceasing and if you have no need, pray for someone else!
  • Read GOD’s word, they are HIS love letters to us so take delight in doing so!
  • Fast! Do it often so we can kill this mortality!
  • Give thanks, it’s all we could actually give!

Praise The LORD!

We cherish you eternally!

  1. Thank you #Monic, this is an impactful post.
    I believe another caption will just be "Relationship with God; our Heavenly Father" :)
    I submit we should desperately ask God for and discover more on His Love for us as His beloved children through Christ Jesus, this will strengthen our proactivness in Spiritual things #weLOVE #weENJOYworship
